Insatiable Fool

My heart doesn’t know
the difference
between
sex and
love
a muscular chest
pressed close
makes it leap and
reach
expand quickly
under a warm light
with the possibility of
mutual touch

My heart can’t tell
when it’s second string
to
skin and
tongue
benched
not allowed to play
unless asked

My heart forgets
previous injuries
when strong arms
pull me in
as if jagged breaks
never happened
it meringues, sways,
shakes it’s perfect ass

My heart plays
long after
the party
is over
cheers after
the crowd
is gone
keeps dancing after
the music stops
I point and
make fun
while steady rhythm
pumps blood
naïve and happy
to the rest of my
ungrateful
self
