Untitled Love Poem

Inspired by "If You Forget Me" by Pablo Neruda

Oh, we are passionate,
you, I, good molten
pour over and change the landscapes of grooves
in our souls, cruelties endured from
harsh weather of loves past

Oh, we are passionate,
you, I, bad molten
pour over, deepen grooves in our hearts
familiar pains, cruelties endured from
harsh weather of hurts past

You are the storm that I seek, magnanimous, consuming
your predictability in shape,
the shelter of your wind brushes my skin, polishes me, lifts and
I surrender to the flood that is you,
destroying haunts long abandoned and useless,
you smooth rough terrain, fill grooves from
harsh weather left from salty tears past
